Research is my best friend. Whether that's reading articles and watching videos on the subject or collecting data via surveys and interviewing SMEs (subject matter experts), I love to research and learn new things. 

Also, I believe not being an expert on a subject makes for an excellent tech writer. It's much easier to put yourself in the shoes of a user and catch blindspots in your content. 

Great technical content decreases your Support team's stress levels, decreases the number of Slack messages sent, and makes your users happy. 

At the end of the day, great content answers the users' questions and enables them to accomplish their tasks. 

Yes! Great content is only great if users can find it. 

All my work is charged hourly. The rate is dependent on the project, industry, and company size.

My minimum hourly rate is USD $50.00. This rate allows me to keep the lights on, stock the fridge, and pay Uncle Sam. 

I require a minimum deposit of 30% after all parties have signed the contract.

A 50% deposit is required for smaller projects or projects needing a quicker turnaround time.

I'm always happy to provide a quote prior to sending the final contract. 

I don't have a set number of revisions included in my rates. Revisions are up to my discretion and dependent on turnaround time and the nature of the revision request.

I'll work with you to determine what you dislike, and we'll find a solution. 

To avoid this, I have a questionnaire all clients must fill out before they receive a contract to sign. 

The questionnaire ensures that we are a good match for each other and that I can achieve what you're looking for.
